He wanted to pervade her in every possible way. Every vampire mating urge was blending with the craving for her blood. He wanted to sink his teeth, his cock, and his soul in. He wanted to roll around in her blood and take everything she had to give. To drown in it. In her. And more.

5+ Indigo stars!

Holy vampire hotness. I have been (not so) patiently waiting for this book for months now, and even though my expectations were sky high for this novel, Lana still managed to blow my expectations to bits and leave me completely satisfied and yearning for more.

The Season of the Wolf arc of the Fae Guardians series concluded with Jasper's book, THE DREAMS OF BROKEN KINGS. The Season of the Vampire arc begins with my babe Indigo's book TSISAB, where we meet Violet, a human nuclear physicist who mysteriously wakes up centuries in the future where fae creatures rule and all metal and plastics items are banned because of their ability to block Well-magic. When she first awakens, Violet is brutally attacked by winged vampiric creatures who claim to want more than her blood as Violet unknowingly has a high affinity for Well-magic. After Violet fights for her freedom and escapes her attackers, she sets out alone on a path of vengeance and penance, vowing to rid this new world of all of the unsavory vampires who cross her path.

Unfortunately for Violet, Vampire Guardian Indigo--one of those sworn to protect the integrity of the Well-magic of Elphyne--has been sent by the Prime to capture Violet and bring her to the Order before anyone else can use her as a weapon against them. Indigo was my favorite type of alpha Hero; he was incorrigible, mischievous, and cocky in the best way, but still so loyal, obsessed, and protective of Violet from the first second he meets her, and I just love him so freaking much. It was so nice seeing the couples from the previous books still being adorable, and I loved the hints Lana gave us of Haze and Shade's books next (even though she also completely shredded my heart). I can honestly say that the Fae Guardians series has gotten better and better with each book, though I think Indigo will remain my favorite for quite some time. I cannot wait for the continuation of Haze and Peaches' story next and more from Elphyne! ♡

Tropes: fated mates, enemies-to-lovers, reverse grumpy/sunshine, 'who did this to you' vibes, morally grey hero, heroine with hidden powers, hate-to-love-you, 'touch her and die' vibes, dystopian fae setting, band of brothers, found family, slow burn, mild cliffhanger (part of a series), STEAMY

Vampire. Yay! That's it. That's my review.
Okay fine it's not...but also I love vampires. And I was ready to see what Lana P. would give me with Indigo and I am not disappointed. I need to figure out how to become a genius, build a bomb that takes out the world but I wake up 1000 years in the future and become a Well-blessed mate to a vampire Guardian ( or a wolf shifter. Honestly I'm not picky.).

Violet was one of the first to wake in this new future. A future she realized she helped shape. She built the weapon that destroyed the planet 1,000 years before. She carries the guilt of what she's done for the past six years as she makes her way through Elphyne hiding amongst the fae. Never truly sleeping, trusting, making any connections. Just killing vampires. Vampires like the ones who attacked her when she first woke....and she's good at it. But Clarke isn't the only Seer and others are looking for her and want what she has in her head.

Indigo. An outcast amongst his own people because his parents were the first to mate and be faithful. Then one in his own family once he decided to join the Guardians to help with his own guilt over his own past. Things he doesn't want Violet to know because he can't ever lose her. But if he can't let go of his own guilt , how can he convince her to let go of hers?

This is book 4 in the Fae Guardians series and book one in the Season of the Vampire trilogy. Which means....YAY MORE VAMPIRES.

Lana has done it again!

In her continuation of the Fae Guardians series, Lana takes us out of the Wolf members to the Vampire members. Up first is the flirtatious Indigo. Except, he has his hands full with Violet.

This book had everything that I love: enemies to lovers, emotional connection, steamy scenes, and of course a swoon worthy male MC. Indigo and Violet both had secrets but together they were able to open up to one another. Violet was a strong female MC (which Lana is ALWAYS guaranteed to have in her stories), and Indigo was the swoon worthy vampire that I expected him to be.

The plot continues to thicken in this world, and I love that Lana is able to not only give us romance but also intriguing world building. We learn more about the unseelie queen, and more about other characters in the series. Lana did leave us with a little cliffy at the end with the next couple, Indigo and Violet had their HEA which I loved.

I can't wait until October when Peaches and Hazes' story is told!

Not a fan. Violet had a HUGE chip on her shoulder and these 2 characters had no chemistry. Honestly, just reading the same characters with new names and slightly different back stories.
Ill be stopping here and reading any and all spoilers for the rest

I love the MCs in this one. Both had major growth arcs and they felt very relatable.

another banger

I love the shift in tone that's happened here for the new season of shifters and the reveal of the second couple in the book!! If you liked the first three, you'll love this one too

I loved Indigo and learning a bit about the Sluagh, not so sure about Violet. I do wonder if the Sluagh would die once they finally kill the Maebh or if it will just set them free since she can control them. I didn’t feel as much connection between the characters in this one as I have in others in the series.
