Method: ebook

Rating: 3/5 stars

H rating: 4/5 - Jack. that shut-down and subsequent heartbreak was brutal to read..and completely unnecessary.

h rating: 4.5/5 - Stella. Honestly, I want her patience and calmness in the face of such drama..not the emotional numbness but her poker face. Very strong.

Drama: 3/5 - Nothing terrible. Just residual pain and expressing it onto the new relationship for Jack.

Thoughts: Very much a sweet read. Good book though.

Stella thought she was in love, but it turned out she was the other woman. She is done with men and relationships. In walks Jack. He is the brother of the wife in the whole other woman scenario. He want to find that horrible woman who hurt his sister. He never expected to find Stella. There are always two sides to every story. Jack is also a wounded soul who is not interested in a relationship. Sometimes it takes the one thing you think you never want to heal the broken parts of your heart. I thought it was a great story and being set in Scotland, how could you not love it?

3.5 stars. I love Scotland and anything to do with it, so the fact that Stella's excape was there made me smile. I found the writing well done and the story flowed well, but I found the 'internal' conversations for each character a bit wordy at times. Overall, I liked the story and HEA. The heart breaking history and both character's ability to forgive was paramount throughout.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I have to say it was really enjoyable. I loved how Jack goes in all guns blazing and comes up with the most unexpected "homewrecker" he has ever met! Stella comes up on his blind side and these two battle so much because of what has all happened and how they are intertwined in the first place. I love how the get a deeper understanding of each other through this book as well. Very much looking forward to Cora's book now! I would love to see how she progresses after she is the cause of Jack and Stella in the first place!

Intense is the perfect way to describe this book. The way they met, their relationship, and all the ups and downs are intense. You’re in for a ride of lots of feels with this one.

The book was below average for me.
I totally agree with Kiki. They wouldn't have been together if not for the pregnancy. I didn't feel any chemistry between them.

Safety Issue: It was safe.
