Loved this look at Keira as a young woman. As I ended up reading this short after I'd completed the whole series it's super fun to see who she was, knowing who she becomes. I enjoyed seeing Wolfe's parents and how it all began.

Tigers in the Cage gives a glimpse into the life of Keria Morning, Wolfe’s mother, growing up in the Iron Tower prior to becoming the Obscurist Magnus. It gives an insight into the sad existence she’s come to accept, and the mercenary mating/matching system the Iron Tower imposes.
It’s an easy read and goes a long way to humanising Wolfe’s mother as well as showing us a bit of his father, and making you feel dirty and gross about just how corrupt the Library is. It’s a lovely little Easter egg to keep you occupied between books!

WAIT but but...that's it for Keria and Eskander, Wolfe's parents?! Something interesting happens when they show us the inside of the Iron Tower, and then it just gets cut off right there.
