3.5 really. Take a drink every time "Jehoshaphat" is said and try not to die of alcohol poisoning.
I find this falls into the same slot a lot of Asimov does for me, where the ideas are fascinating and compelling but it just falls a little short in the execution. The difference in social norms and the struggle of understanding between citizens of different planets kept me reading the whole way even while I found the murder mystery aspect dragged despite being the entirety of the plot. The idea that people could become so isolated that the thought of seeing each other in person and breathing the same air is horrifying was both alien and strangely familiar from the pandemic.
For being one of the founding fathers of robotics in fiction, Asimov digs into the eccentricities of humanity very well and that's where I find his most interesting writing to be.
