I really loved this book. There was nothing monumental about the story, I just loved the main character and I loved how the book was written.

The main character is in her mid 20s. It's a lot of discovery as she becomes an adult but I really liked how she went through it. Would read it again and recommend.

I’m not sure how to rate this book. I think because my Dad has Parkinson’s like the MC, Maddie’s, Dad I felt especially sensitive reading about her experience as a caretaker/in the aftermath, so I’m simply not going to give it a rating.

I listened to this book and it was a slog. Maddie says it herself: she’s not a good time. Maddie is lonely and depressed through the bulk of the book, so it was lonely and depressing to read. She’s one of those characters everything happens to, which means she takes very little responsibility for the situations she finds herself in. The upswing in her life (new flat, new friends, new job, new relationship etc) is short lived, which I might have expected if I’d more closely read the book jacket.
