Initially I thought this book was too millennial for me, but by the end I was caught up. The author’s voice in dealing with life, love, family, discrimination and depression creates a connection that pulls you in.

Very very good book and I felt seen by the main character in terms of discussions she has with herself in her head as well as coping with her depression after a loss

This could be a good, poignant book if not for the poor writing style. The author's voice reads like a teenage fanfiction author trying to write about adulthood, with characters sounding like Instagram pop-therapy or online discourse threads more than real people speaking.

I loved this so much. Not many books make me cry but this one was so beautifully written.

2.5 rounded up. Almost didn’t finish. For me, slow start, and I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had read it when I was in my 20s.
