A case of running out of Libby options. This was very much not for me.

Another great one by Mhairi McFarlane
Inspires courage to go after what you want when you've got nothing left to lose. I loved that the characters in the book had redeeming qualities, aside from the obvious goons. I loved the build-up with Adam because you didn't know if he was trustworthy...that chemistry sizzled off the page!

A delightful little story about love, loss, and…comic books? I will see rereading all of Mhairi MacFarlanes books via audiobook is a great way to pass the time, highly recommend

If you are a fan of women's fiction, not bubble headed chick lit, this book is for you. Told with humor as well as with heart, Delia finds out her boyfriend cheated on her, right after she proposes to him. A text message sent to her instead of the girlfriend begins Delia's journey from Newcastle to London, finding a job and trying to find herself. An absolutely fun ride.

I loved it. I read McFarlane's first book You Had Me At Hello a while back, but this one is even better. This is an author who writes people in a way that I can get behind. They're original, interesting, relatable, and, most of all, human. They aren't dramatic caricatures and I feel with them rather than roll my eyes at them.
In this book the main character finds out that her boyfriend of ten years has cheated on her and she moves to London to get some space to breathe and think. I can't say that I've been in her shoes, but I was still very interested in her story — how she gets a new job, meets new people, and try to figure out all the conflicting emotions she has for her boyfriend.
Because the best part is that he's not an asshole — nor is he portrayed as such — and she still loves him. Because you don't stop, even if there's been a breach of trust. It's so much more believable than all the overdramatic romance novels out there where it's all black and white. I just love it, okay?
Also, there's naturally a new love interest and it sort of sneaked up on you in the best way possible (I quite liked him). She also gets a platonic male friend! That never happens. Have you thought about that? In romantic books it's a big no-no for the heroine to get new male friends because they can be confused with The Love Interest. But not here! And the friend was awesome. I liked him.
I wouldn't call this book flawless (what is?) but it was refreshing, interesting, and well worth a read. Also better paced than McFarlane's first book. Give it a try!
