This book was cute! It was a cute and clean romance that was easy to digest.

Though, I felt like it wasn’t long enough to truly get to know the characters. So they kind of fell flat for me. They were very one dimensional and didn’t have many character traits other than being single parents and rescue workers. I also felt like there wasn’t any tension built between the characters how there normally is in a grumpy vs. sunshine romance book. It didn’t really reflect that trope in my opinion. I didn’t find Hunter to be overly grumpy and Charlotte didn’t really have to win him over.

I also thought that the first part of the book where they were trapped and needing to be rescued went on for way too long. I was so bored of that scene and I don’t feel like it added much to the book, for it to be as long was it was. It wasn’t filled with romantic tension or anything. The characters were just annoyed with each other and it had be questioning if they were going to be the ones to get together or not.
