An interesting structure, many well-developed and various narrators, and several compelling story lines. I enjoyed this murder mystery and how many stories came together over the course of the novel.

Нет, неплохо. Простила ему детство маньяка за неслитую концовку.

Quit after 150 pages. I thought it was too graphic for me. I did not care about the characters.

It's not like the book was bad, it's just that it wasn't as terrifying as the reviews made it seem so. But overall, it was a good enough thriller, with interestingly twisted men.

This was my Book Club read for March - I didn't want to read it after reading the blurb on the cover - scary and gruesome etc. However thought I'd better give it a go. I read it in 2 days and didn't want to put it down. It was gruesome and pretty horrifying but written in such a way I just wanted to find out what happened. It also raised some issues - how on earth do victims, their families or police officers ever get over such awful events?

This was GOOD. I couldn't put it down in the second half, there was so much suspense

I read this book because it was recommended to me since there was a supposed twist at the end. There wasn't. It was an ok book, it didn't suck me in like most mysteries/thrillers did, but it wasn't too hard to read.

My one real complaint is that one of the character's name was "Claudia" and the other was "Carla" and so in the beginning I was really starting to get confused with all the characters. Plus there were some side characters that had a chapter or two from their point of view that I didn't really feel was all that helpful to the story. Perhaps it was because this is a series or what, but there was just a few too many people in this book for me.

Dark, dark, dark is great, great, great, and Saul Black delivers here. The opening grabs you by the throat and holds on, and at every turn, you wonder if the characters you're rooting for will survive - or not. I read this in one (late into the wee hours) sitting. Good thing I don't scare easily.
