This book is well written and it has some plot twists in it and i love how the characters are written and how they speak to one another and how they just really fit in this book.

I thought Saul Black did a decent job of expanding his characters to set up for future novels around the main character and her direct links. The overall story of The Killing Lessons was interesting - and I enjoyed the story being told during different time frames and character perspectives. I look forward to seeing future Valerie Hart novels - hopefully we get a closer peek into the torrid pasts of the main characters and explore their connections more in depth.

Now I'm no policelady, but to be honest, I feel like most events in this story could have been avoided with slightly more scrupulous police work.

Unfortunately it was rather disappointing. I really love a good, fast-paced thriller but the in-between "blabla" about the thoughts of the individual people in various situations that detailled were way too much and not even remotely necessary for the story-line or for the atmosphere.
Sadly that killed the mood for me but without this nonsense in-between the story was good.

Absoultely loved this book. The cover is intruging and the plot was divine. This gave me the view points of the killer, victim, and police which was amazing to see done so fluently
