White male author takes a stab at what women feel like while being abducted and raped - misses by a long shot. Casual ableism here and there. He also writes about the experiences of people with biracial parents? Bad. Only good thing is the suspense.

Wow, this book is explicit in  (sexual) violence. Much darker than I usually read, but it was very well written: good language, complex characters, multiple povs, small shifts in chronology. Kept me on edge the whole way trough. Could not put it away.
Excellent performance of the narrator of the audiobook.
