Good: Had some good quotes. She dealt with an abusive relationship quite well; I found it very poignant to past experiences. As usual, a very atmospheric novel that was intriguing and enjoyable.
Bad: I already felt weird reading it after Rowling’s TERF comments....then she had a character whom she called a slur for Trans-people. EVEN in a case of mistaken identity, never appropriate to use that term. And if that wasn’t enough, the pace was VERY slow. I’m also so done with the will they/won’t they vibe with Robin and Cormoran. Plot was very eh. I didn’t call it, but it also wasn’t a surprise.
Overall: interesting novel, but not worth 600+ pages.
