I tried hard to read this but could not keep up with it. It was not the book for me. I was possibly reading it at the wrong time but regardless, I could not get into it.

Bravo. Bravissimo. Deep. Dark. Twisted. Just the way I like my thrillers.
I had no idea where this was going and I didn't care. The ride was compelling and the ending magnificent.

Thank you #Netgalley for the Arc of #TheGame a debut novel by #ScottKershaw.
This is a fast paced really well written thriller about five strangers all receiving a text to play The Game… do not involve the police or tell anyone or their most loved one dies… With each chapter you really get to know each player and their back stories, this kept me totally engrossed right till the end with an ending you wont see coming, this is a brilliant debut novel and I can’t wait to see what Scott Kershaw writes next.

Several random people across the world receive mysterious invitations to a game that they cannot refuse to play. The game is deadly and the rules are hard to follow.

I really liked The Game. It took me a few chapters to fully understand which player was which, but Kershaw is able to create individual characters so it wasn't a problem. It is a fast-paced thriller with twists and turns.

I felt that the finale could have been padded out a little more, but this doesn't stop The Game being an exciting novel. I'd recommend.

Many thanks to Scott Kershaw, NetGalley, and HQ for this copy.
