These books are a joy to read. I instantly disliked Elektra from the previous books whe she would make appearances (visions of Naomi Campbell and her diva strops) and wasn't sure I would enjoy this one but I'm so glad I was wrong. Fabulous read.... bring on the 7th. I'll be sad when they're finished!

This was amazing!!! I think it's the only book where the sister doesn't travel to her home country, which was a shame, but given the sisters job, it's understandable!! It was sad, dark, scary, uplifting, everything. And the last sentence!!! Can't wait for the next book.

Surprisingly good. I had a hunch that I would like Elektra, because I didn't expect to enjoy CeCe's story that much, and I was really not looking forward to her book. Turned out that they were the most interesting ones. For once, I liked both the past and the present stories equally.

Spoiler Even though I understand that the addiction story may have been resolved a bit too quickly, it was still quite believable to me, considering the position Elektra was in. She took responsibility or her actions and tried her best to improve, and that is what counts. There other works about addiction if you want accuracy, and I assume that, as for everything in life, everyone has a different experience.

At first, I didn't care much for Cecily in Africa, but she grew on me. Bill is probably my favourite of the male interests in the series, even if he, like everyone else, isn't flawless (it would be boring otherwise).

Since I've been reading this series so much later than everyone else, I had expected an ending in this book, but it seems like I'm wrong.

Overall rating:
Maia: 3,5 stars (she was mostly defined by her beauty, and I felt that she never developed her own personality).
Ally: 3 stars (Theo takes it down one notch)
Star: 3,5 stars (I liked Mouse less retroactively, when he appears in CeCe's version, but that may be her side that makes him so controlling).
CeCe: 4 stars (solid, believable characters)
Tiggy: 3 stars (past much more interesting; present made much less interesting by completely unbelievable lovestory)
Elektra: 4 stars (I obviously like more independent characters)
