While I didn't like most of the stories collected here, I liked the "Mutopia X" issues (involving Detective Ortega) so much that the three stars are well-deserved. There's also one issue dealing with the direct aftermath of the Decimation, which was interesting (even though some people acted in ways that I didn't exactly understand).

Real scattershot collection. Mutopia X is a basically functional but mostly underwhelming mutant mafia story, New X-Men is fine but concludes with a total anti-climax, and I ended up enjoying the Exiles plot way more than I expected. One-shots were fine, I guess. None of this stuff crosses over with the event in a meaningful way except The Day After, which definitely should have been written by Bendis rather than Claremont.
