I really love the dynamics of the Hyuuga clan. I think it's one of the more interesting story lines in the beginning of the series. I also love how the Hyuuga and Uchiha are connected. It doesn't help that I like Neji as a character, even if he is kind of a jerk in this one, and I also like Hinata. I like her determination. Complete gushing over Naruto aside. And it starts to show the shonen trope of the hero inspiring those around him.

Some more exciting matchups, some funny ones, some that are just right, and some that are meant to make you mad! Also the Konoha sensei-tachi are all my favorite. <3

Just as I had predicted, I loved this volume. It was full of action and amazing one on one fights between the characters. And this is just the preliminary event prior to the third (And what I presume to be the final) part of the exam. The battle between Naruto and
Kiba
was awesome, with the shounen type tropes you would expect in the fight. It was a lot of fun with the surprise tricks and to see how much Naruto has grown since just the beginning of the series was a real treat.
Then was the fight between Hinata and Neji, pretty much the opposite type of battle. It was an awesome read and I loved seeing Hinata in action as we hadn't prior to this volume. And while I've been on board for this ship since the first time it was suggested, this volume really gave NaruHina a kickstart.
Definitely looking forward to reading the next volume!!
