The last book just left me hurting for Kage, now I’m broken for these guys. This series is just everything I want out of a sports romance with an awakening, danger, crime, and so much sexy love. I’ve been listening to the audio book and it’s amazing. Great narrator and amazing writing.

Loved this, although the guys were apart far too much for my liking. After the events of the first book, Kage is off at his training camp, and Jamie is first dealing with his mom in the hospital, and then desperately trying to figure out how to get Kage back. It takes awhile, and almost ends in disaster, but Jamie finally succeeds.
I was really surprised with how much I loved Jamie's dad in this one! He went from uncomfortable with his son being with a man, to being really uncomfortable with that man being a man like Kage, and then, finally, ready to kick Kage's ass for breaking his son's heart, which I thought was awesome.
I actually read books 2-3 totally back to back, past the crack of dawn, so now they are starting to blend together for me. I'll just end this by saying I didn't think I'd love this series as much as I did. Kage's domineering ways were a bit too much at ti mes, and I didn't like how he treated Jame when they first got back together, but he had his reasons.

Like I said, a toxic relationship.

3.5 read for me. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a great job. I'm not a big fan of angst and this story pushes me close to my max angst level but I do like the characters and can't wait to see where the story goes.

I'm going to devour these two. Kage and Jaime are great.

Finished book 2 & 3 over a long weekend vacation and they both blended together so I’m just going to write a review for both of them on book 3.
