I've been waiting patiently for Aimee Noalane to come out with a new book since she hooked me in with her No Regrets series. Broken Promises was totally worth the wait! While I question whether or not she likes her readers because she totally leaves us hanging, the Micah and Aubrey's story is completely worth the pain. One of my favorite parts in this book is when Micah is describing the firefly. It was so beautiful and had me swooning! Micah will make you want to throat punch him for being hardheaded and making the wrong choice, he will also make you want to hold him and tell him that everything will be okay and that he didn't do anything wrong. Aubrey's fiestiness and stubbornness makes her someone I would totally want to hang out with. It's hard to write anything else without giving anything away, so I will just say that you need Micah and Aubrey to tell you their story.

WOW!! This was my first Aimee Noalane novel and I can say this definitely will not be my last! I was very fortunate enough to receive an ARC of Broken Promises, so I'd like to thank Aimee again for this awesome opportunity!!

This story was about Micah and Aubrey and OMG I was rooting so hard for them!! Micah is such a beautifully damaged Hero and I just wanted to give him the biggest hug. I loved how much Aubrey loved Micah but there were times when I wanted to shake her, though, I did understand where she was coming from.
"...Always, I promise."

I felt so many emotions while reading this book! It has a lot of angst and my heart literally broke in some scenes. I absolutely loved the writing and usually, I'm not the biggest fan of stories that jump back and forth from the past to the present, but it totally worked here! This story was beautifully written and it captivated me from the very beginning! I literally could not put it down!!

"Tell her that maybe one day when the storm passes and the rain is just a light drizzle, I'll come back to watch her dance in the meadow."

I cannot WAIT to read the next book and see what's in store for Micah and Aubrey!

Rating: 5 Stars!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This story was epic and had everything you could ever want in a book. It was a quick read but trust me it did NOT take away from anything. It contains an alpha Hero that is tortured by his past yet protective and can’t stay away from the heroine. It also has a sassy heroine that is stubborn and fights for those she loves. Micah has had a rough past growing up, so he keeps a lot of people at a distance until he meets Aubrey. They have an instant attraction and chemistry, but he fights it because that is his best friend’s sister. The more time they spend together the more intense their attraction becomes until they can’t deny each other anymore. I really liked the way the story was told, it goes back and forth from the past to present and it flows so well and you get to see both Micah and Aubrey’s prospective in each situation. The ending had my heart breaking so bad for both characters. This is book one and it ends on a cliff hanger, but I am dying to know what is going to happen next. I really hope the next book/s are released soon because the story telling was amazing

I just got hit with ALL of the emotions. I don’t think I have EVER been this broken before in my life.
Fireflies. Of all the things in the world to break my heart, it was FIREFLIES!
I am absolutely wrecked y’all.
Ok. Now that that’s cleared up.
Noalane is a NEW author to ME. So I haven’t been devastated by her before in the past, but I can tell you right now, I’ll be checking out her backlist immediately, because I need something to soothe and damage me while I wait for book 2.
I loved Aubrey’s character the minute we meet her. She’s just genuinely a pure soul, and it shines through the pages. Her relationship with her brother is so incredible, and while I’m not a twin, it certainly feels like she and Vince are.
The chemistry between Micah and Aubrey? An inferno. You can almost feel it radiating off the pages.
And Micah? I wanted to hug him so hard, until I wanted to beat him up, and then I wanted to hug him again. You can definitely see the effects of his life in his character, and I certainly can’t pass that up.
All in all, this needs all the stars, and all the reads, and every last one of you need this in your library.

Aimee is a new to me author, I do have her debut novel sitting on my kindle, but haven't read it yet.
This book omg the feels, I went in blind didn't read the blurb or know what it was about and oh freaking god, did i devour this read.
What can I say about Aubrey I loved her from the start, her relationship with her brother Vince is incredible, having two other brother's myself, those two melted my heart.
Micah oh my the chemistry between the two of them was an inferno. Micah had moments were i wanted to smack him a few dozen times, then it went to me wanting to hug him tight.
5 stars doesn't cover this, this is in my top 5 of 2019

Broken Promises was everything you could want and more from the start of a new series. It draws you in with amazing characters and a fantastic plot and then before you know it hits you right in the feels and you need tissues as you nurse the biggest book hangover of 2019.

Aimee Noalane is the master of complicated relationships, angst and broken bad boys you can't help but love. She has delivered again in Broken Promises with Micah, the broken boy trying to escape his past, and Aubrey, his firefly who brings light to his darkness.

Advance warning this book ends on one of the best cliffhangers I have read. A week later I am still shattered and can't wait for book 2 to find out what happens next.

Broken Promises is a fantastic read, definitely one of my faves of 2019. 5-stars
