Colleen Hoover said ACAB. She really does come up with interesting ways to keep love interests apart (but not for too long).

Damn. That’s all I can say after staying up till almost 3:30am to finish this book.

“I’ll love you forever, even when I can’t.” That statement alone truly encapsulates the emotions and depth of this book. Truly at the height of her abilities, Hoover delivers a passionate and powerful story of Auburn, the girl who loses the love of her life so young, only to be thrown into more strife when her relationship with her son is called into question. And then there’s Owen Gentry, the dashing young artist who can’t seem to outrun his past, and leads a life filled with darkness.

A chance encounter sparked by a “help wanted” signed on his studio leads to a whirlwind of change neither of them could have seen coming; and changes both of their lives in the most unexpected ways.

This book would have been so much better without Trey. Obliviously
he is the villain of the story. But he is such a cheesy villain. Planting evidence, being a bad cop?
the rest of the story is heart wrenching and beautiful but an unrealistic amount of conflict. Good read though!

I liked this book it was good. Being an artist I like the concept of the art used in this book, Owen I think has won me over for a book crush. Hahahaha.

The story itself was good, I felt it picked up just over half way , the first half I kept thinking haven't I just read this, it just felt repeatative.
Auburn just felt flat to me the whole time through, I understand that she had so much going on but she was a very flat character for me again she didn't show her character until towards the end is when I started liking her.

Overall it was a good colleen hoover read but placing in the middle of my rankings.
