So, PBS is sponsoring The Great American Read this summer & I decided to join & read a few from the list I haven’t gotten around to yet... and, this book is terrible. America got it wrong. Solidified my belief America needs some literary help.

This story is about a detective named Alex cross who is assigned to the case of finding 2 missing children. Both are from prestige families.

First audio book and it was amazing! I actually enjoyed the voice of the person reading it and it really made me feel like I was in the story. The only thing I didn't like is that the murders at the beginning were never tried for

Reading thrillers is so much better than watching them. So much is lost when books become movies, in my humble opinion. Loved it and I'm sure it won't be my last James Patterson book. Just couldn't put it down towards the end.

I did not love the writing style of the internal monologue, but I really did enjoy the clues of the crime.

I was excited to read this book, there was something about it that made it very intriging. To follow the main character who is the detective trying to figure out what happened. It was a very interesting story to read, with an great writing style. The way in which everything was concluded was very clever. The main character has developed nicely throughout the book. I will be intending to continue the series.

Admittedly I had already seen the movie and I love Morgan Freeman. I preferred the movie character to the book character. I’m hoping Alex Cross becomes more likable in the next book. I am giving the series one more chance. I also felt the relationship between Alex and Jezzie was very off putting. The love scenes were hard to read.
