"Empires preserve their power with the stories that they tell, but just as critical are the stories they don’t—the dark silences they impose, the pages they tear out."
I can only call this thrilling book engrossing beyond belief. I was enthralled by this story of shipwrecked sailors and the horrors they faced on the Seas. The sailors' perseverance and fortitude were nothing short of miraculous; it was the human spirit on full display. I would also be remiss to point out the South American tribes who embodied and acted with friendship and understand to people who tried to change and villainize them.
I truly enjoyed reading this book start to finish; Mystery, adventure, Murder and mayhem; it had it all!!
