I really enjoyed this book about employees working on The Manhattan Project. I love a military setting, and the Smoky Mountains as a backdrop is perfect. The cast of characters is small, but I quickly grew fond of them all, especially Julie, Dottie and Eric. I look forward to the second book and learning more about the characters and the secrets of working in Atomic City. I loved how the author placed a mention to an earlier book of hers, too, tying those stories together in a small way.
