Pure fun. Who knew the upperish classes of England could be laugh out loud foolish. Wait, I forgot how the Royal family actually behaves. This is still better.

Short stories across different Wodehouse pantheons.

Another delicious Wodehouse audiobook. This is a kind of book that really benefits from a narrator telling you the story. These are 9 short stories, some of them related to each other and some are about golf, which is a little harder to follow if you don't know much about it.

The first story (about the crime wave at Blandings Castle was 5 star, laugh out loud, material.
The other stories ranged between 2 and 4 stars. Ok, moderately funny, but not Wodehouse-in-top-form.

The crime wave at Blandings was an excellent story. One can always count on Lord Emsworth for a deeply entertaining tale.
Then there were some Mulliner stories and I’ve never been a fan of those. They can be hit or miss. Next came some golf stories from the “oldest member”. One was entertaining. The other - clearly a product of it’s time - advocated physically assaulting strong women as the best way to their hearts…rather cringe inducing.
The final stories were Ukridge stories and were adequately entertaining.

This book of short stories is mostly made up of shorts about the "Others," though the Emsworth tale is one of my favorite Blandings stories. Several of the other stories are golf-heavy, and my eye skimmed right over those. There are also several Uxbridge stories in the last half of the book which involve Pushy Aunts, animals, and jewels, and these were delightful, classic Wodehouse. Jolly good!

A brilliant collection of short stories. Only the first one is Blandings, there are a few Oldest Member stories, and (my favourite) a few Ukridge. Brilliant writing, although a couple of the golfing stories fell a bit flat.
