I'm a little sad that there aren't anymore Demonica books, but oh man that was the best series I've read in a long time, each new book had a distinct story line and together they formed a universe that was amazing! Can't wait to read more of Larissa Ione.

Um... this was too possessive and abusive. I didn't care for his lack of respect for her and I didn't care for her total lack of spine. The only thing this book made me want to do is read the one about Eidelon, because for me, he stole all the limelight.

Revenant is Reaver's twin brother but he was raised in hell and without his memories(because what is done to one twin must be done to the other) he believed he was a fallen angel for 5000 yrs. Now that he has his memories back he's pissed that his brother was raised in a safe and loving environment while he was tortured everyday of his life.
2 weeks after getting his memory back he meets Blaspheme and decides he needs to tap that but she tells him no, not something that's ever happened to him in his very long life. Blaspheme works at UG and thinks that the hot tool is still a tool and she needs to protect herself as her enchanted disguise is wearing off. Blaspheme is the child of a fallen angel and an angel, a creature that is always hunted down and killed.
This was an angsty relationship on several levels and a good way to tie up a lot of loose ends in the series. Only a couple of books left now :)

To be honest i felt a little let down with this book. Now don't get me wrong its not crap, its just not up to that standard i hold Larissa to. The plot i feel was perfectly thought out, but that's about the only thing i was satisfied with. Its knowing the possibilities that could have been with the complexity of the plot presented that's killing me man!
The love story between Rev and Blas, was also a massive let down, just because it just seemed too easy, not that it needs struggle but Blas we're told is a strong independent woman with serious trust issues... i know love conquers all fear and all but...seriously?! Now way in that space of time with that much hostile contact did she fall in love! And its unrealistic to present Rev the way he was and then to suggest he'd give his heart so easily and with that level of trust that quickly.
All in all i feel the book depends too much on the previous books, it couldn't stand alone as a independent book which is something that could be said for Larissa's previous books.

Another reread for me, we got Reaver's story now we get to experience the other side of the coin with his newly discovered twin brother and counter opposite Revenant and he's quite frankly and rightly so a bit pissed at the shitty hand he's been dealt by the powers that be. Not only has he been under the mistaken belief that he's a fallen angel he discovers that his brother is also the reason his memory was wiped twice as the rules are what happens to one must also happen to the other twin. So ultimately Reaver's choices have been impacting his existence for a fair while and he's naturally wallowing in some bitterness and anger and also experiencing a sense of displacement over where he actually fits and then there's the fact that his brother seems to be the golden brother whilst he was largely been thrown away forgotten and allowed to be tainted by the evil of Sheoul.
Because of the events that transpire in Reaver Revenant is now a shadow angel direct counterpart to his brother's Radiant status and the second most powerful being in Sheoul only second to Satan in power and now both heaven and hell want his loyalties but both sides offer little in the way of an incentive so for the moment Revenant decided to concentrate on his own survival whichever the way the chips then fall.
With Gethel now pregnant with a reincarnated Lucifer and charged by Satan with her care he recruits Blaspheme a false angel doctor who works at Underworld General. The plan is simple knowing Lucifer will eventually replace him Revenant sets out to prevent Lucifer's rebirth but without directly getting his own hands dirty plausible deniability. The fact that he's massively attracted to Blaspheme is of little consequence as he plans to do his usual hit and then move on but Revenant doesn't count on his newly emerging emotions becoming involved which definitely complicates everything.
Blaspheme though has secrets and her cover is fading fast she's the forbidden offspring of an angel and a fallen angel which is a death sentence so, for now, she's hiding in plain sight under the disguise of a false angel but assassin angels are on her trail and she's now running out of options there's also the fact that Revenant is the destroyer a being tasked with hunting her kind down and Blaspheme is terrified he'll discover just who she really is.
This was fast-paced and a great read each book in this series is well-written and engaging and the world-building for this series is second to none. I actually like Revenant as a character more than his twin he just seems less sanctimonious and Reaver can sometimes get a bit judgy also his upbringing has shaped him in ways that Reaver just couldn't comprehend he's also not as bothered about right and wrong and I've always preferred a more villainous multilayered grey anti-hero over there heroic counterpart. But I did love that these two separated siblings finally managed to reconnect and eventually find a common ground together.
The spice with this was also good and Revenant and Blaspheme had plenty of chemistry together and I liked them as a couple. We also get to revisit with plenty of familiar faces from the series and overall this was an excellent addition to the series as a whole.

While I didn't think that Blaspheme was particularly special, I absolutely loved Revenant. What a fantastic ending to the series!

Finally we learn a little more about the delicious and sexy brother of Reaver ><
Revenant always thought he was alone in the world but overnight, he discovers that he has a twin brother who has just everything he always wanted ... But while the war between Hell and Heaven is looming on the horizon, Revenant is dangerously attracted to Blaspheme, a False Angel who hides a dangerous secret ...
Ahhhh I loved this book that seems to mark the end of a cycle >< (I can't wait to read the short-story about Zhubaal ><)
There's action, humor, suspense, sex, twists, colorful and endearing characters ... In short, everything that makes a book a Must-Read for me x)
(Maybe one day I would read the first books xD)
