Takeuchi builds the second arc toward conclusion, with a corrupted Rini and the revelation of Wise Man's true self. Explosive action, big melodrama, good stuff.

One of my all-time favorite series. The gateway series to getting me into anime and manga! The artwork impressed me so much, and the story was fun. It is still one of my favorites both because it's well-done, and for nostagia reasons.

This is the version that came out during the middle age of manga: before they stopped flipping the artwork, but right as TokyoPop was starting to emerge, and the volumes got cheaper. Unfortunately you could see it in the quality, as there were a lot of typos and sometimes the edges of pages would get cut off.

What's with the incest? Chibiusa keeps kissing Mamoru claiming him hers. In the anime it wasn't so clear. Just this little detail made me wanna run. The design is still great and I like how Usagi is more mature than the anime. I also like the insight in Pluto's psych. Other than that....too much drama and confusion for my liking.

I enjoyed this one a lot more than the last volume!

The introduction to the new characters kept me fascinated all over again
I’m excited to know what happens next
The last ones were not so interesting due to the introduction of Chibi Usa ( this is just for the fact I do not enjoy her character ) but with these new characters I am all happy again

This is where things really take interesting, unexpected turns. I can see where my love of time travel comes from, and where I got my love for interaction between past and present versions of the same characters.

This volume also begins the exploration of the dual nature of personality via Black Lady. One of Takeuchi's strengths is revealing how manipulation and corruption make loved ones unrecognizable. This comes through in the form of possession, which must be overcome through the will of the one being possessed.

This volume had it all. Time travel, abductions, incest. Too bad the writing wasn't good enough to keep me interested in it. Meh, maybe the next one will be better.

I liked that they are more Sailor Guardians! They’re very mysterious. Can’t wait to continue on this journey!
