Received an advanced copy for my honest review.

Short novelette that carries a huge punch. Great story line, tons of action. And with an ending you don't see coming

This is a novelette, a short, fast-paced read that is a book for fans of mafia/suspense romance. The prologue packs a brutal and poignant punch from the past before it jumps years into the future.

Tony is a man who has tried to escape the family legacy he promised his life and honour to. He's done some pretty nasty things but he has changed. He seems to want more out of his life and he's living a life of honesty and simplicity. Red is a new bartender on the island and they have immediate chemistry despite their 20 year age difference. Red and Tony seem to be on different pages in terms of what they want from one another. As this was a short read, everything happens fairly quickly, both the story development and the relationships. The final 25% of the book lacked tangible credibility in terms of the story and outcome. I preferred the first half of the read. The description is graphic in terms of violence.
