Very good representation of humanity and a good metaphor for what was going on at the time of it being written.

One of the most gripping plays I've read, though I look forward to someday seeing it actual acted out. It's been years since I've read it, and I still remember the haunting end very clearly.

This falls under the category of one of those plays I should have read a long time ago but never did. Another audiobook (thank you Philadelphia Public Library!), I enjoyed it -- lots of great actors in this BBC version. Couldn't stand the incessant dog barking in the background though.
To appreciate this play, I think it's important to understand the context in which it was written -- McCarthyism, et. al. I thought the premise was excellent, but I wished for a deeper delving into individual characters' motives.

Annunciation would’ve been really helpful for this read. There’s definitely parts I just couldn’t understand. But overall a great read and the readers did amazing on the whole.
