This was a very interesting book about Artificial Intelligence and the ways that it is used to predict how to market products, design airports, manage healthcare concerns, and more. I liked reading about all the examples that the authors gave, which helped to explain the concepts in an easy to understand manner. I also liked that the authors discussed issues with using AI without human interaction and/or judgement.
This is a fascinating field with a lot of growth still to come. There are many uses as to how AI can improve our lives, but there is also a healthy amount of caution to be used before deploying it widely, as the authors note.

Power and Prediction by Ajay Agrawal
Enjoy this read as it's about AI and how it has impacted our lives in the past.
So many references and resources are quoted at the end, along with author notes at every chapter
Such information as to how AI was used in the medical field which I'm aware of with my own test results and follow up procedures but they also used it in Flint, MI lead water pipe investigation.
Interesting to learn so many details about this and other events that occurred. Would’ve been interesting to learn how knitting mills in our neighborhood could’ve used this for production.
Like AI in computer as we learned ourselves and created programs to determine the best for us to buy. We set criteria and it has always picked the right device, appliance, any big purchase we've made.
Enjoyed the discussion and comparison with when electricity was first introduced in the US, similar to how AI, as many are leery because they don't understand it.
So cool how it all works and is working in today’s world and for the future.
Received this review copy from the publisher and this is my honest opinion.

The Author immerses you into a think tank of the extensiveness Artifical Intelligence has to offer in our modern day. The Author cleverly reminds you of the importance of our adaptability to change, and how this shapes our quality of life.
This book has been written with great reflection and research. It truly takes you on a journey, that naturally makes you appreciate that the world we live in has endless potential for the way we live our lives, for the here and now and in the future.
Artifical Intelligence is all around us, it makes decisions on our credibility, our characteristics, our expectations, quality of life and much more!
A very enjoyable read, that has been written extremely well. A real page turner

Power and Prediction is a combined effort of authors Ajay Agrawal, Joshua Gans, and Avi Goldfarb. The authors dive into what AI future holds in every aspect of our lives. How will AI change where you work, what you drive, what you eat, your social life, and your medical? They cover many aspects so you can be prepared. I found they did not sugarcoat their predictions. You understand the possibilities of mistakes and miscalculations of the programmers.
I found Power and Prediction informative yet practical. The authors wrote at a level everyone could understand, but experts in this area may find it too simple for their liking. This book is a spin-off of their previous bestseller, Prediction Machines. I highly recommend this book to everyone who wants to prepare themselves for what the future could hold in AI and what direction their business could be taking.
