Okay sooo I thought this was going to be a book I would love. I didn’t realize this was a Romeo and Juliet retelling and I hated the ending but what bothered me most about this book is how much the MC just gave up on everything she wanted for a man. She lost a lot of her autonomy. She was rash and didn’t think through her actions. 

Also this man who was mediocre really. He did the bare minimum and she fell totally in love with him. He did have a good redemption arch but their connection just didn’t feel realistic in the end.

Not info mafia romance sub trope... General downer of a book in my opinion more than romantic, adventurous, or fantastical.
