I think this is a very well written book, the concept is very cool.
But I just can’t get over the ending, It’s so sad… I know its meant to be a Romeo and Juliet retelling.. but I hoped for a happier ending… Sad endings aren’t for me….

I’m in shock. The ending was brutal. And I would go trough it all over again. I have nothing but respect for an author who dare to do this in a book. It takes steel. I will definitely be reading more of her books.

Other than that the writing was really good and the story was suspenseful til the very end.

I started listening to this book without reading any reviews, and I must have missed the part of the synopsis calling it a Romeo & Juliet retelling. If I’d registered that, I may not have been so surprised by the ending. While I thought it could be a bit long-winded at points and I didn’t quite believe parts of it (character motives), I still enjoyed the story and bought into the love story, mostly…insta-love in an enemies to lovers scenario was also a bit unbelievable. I like the angel universe, though it wasn’t as complex as others I’ve read. I should also mention the the audio narration was just okay…it wasn’t my favorite but it wasn’t the worst either.

I’m interested in how the rest of the series goes as the story develops. On to book two.

Well, that was tragic… and heartbreaking.
