I enjoyed it overall; it had a great atmosphere with some classic spider horror. The beginning is a bit slow, but it turns into a rather serious folktale that fills you with dread. However, I have to admit that after reading "The Spider Glowered Balefully" for the fifth time, my immersion started to slip often. 😄 The unfolding of certain events also felt cartoonishly evil at times, which I found hilarious unintentionally. This, along with the repetition of certain words being noticeable in such a short novella, keeps me from giving it 4 stars.
