This was a great first book in this new series and by the time I got to the end I was chomping at the bit to get the next one. You get a bit of a slow burn between Cord and Tegan (and good luck not just loving Tegan to bits!), a wonderful world of magical fantasy world with great characters who have great depth and intrigue you and a story that draws you in. I can not wait for the next one!!!!

Into Darkness is a fascinating and addictive urban fantasy book by Eve L. Mitchell. The author has created a world filled with magic and intrigue. Along with relatable, enjoyable and uniquely identifiable characters to read. There were elements of humour, which I found myself smirking at more than once.

And let’s not forgot Tegan - she’s one badass female lead with an underlying innocence, but a strength that’s unmatched. She’s an absolute amazing character to read.

The twists and turns throughout the story are unexpected and perfect. Every aspect of this story drew me in and I was captivated from the beginning right till the end. What an ending!!! I was shocked at every line I read and screaming internally. Anything I previously thought was shattered. This story absolutely blew my mind and I couldn’t have predicted what was coming.

I very rarely am so greedy that I “need” the next book, but in the case I NEED the next book!! I really can’t wait to read what adventures are in store for these characters, and see what Eve L. Mitchell has up her sleeve. I’m sure that anything I think is coming in the story, will again be thrown right out the window.
