Although not usually a fan of mysteries, I decided the anthropology angle would be interesting. A series of clues leads to more and more questions, and everything wraps up nicely in the end.

Kathy Reichs turns in another good one. Lots of twists and turns in finally identifying which dead person is which. (This is not a spoiler. Misidentifying the dead is what the Tempe Brennan books are all about). Fun banter. Hawaii. It's all good.

plot: Tempe and Ryan discover a body that looks like an accidental death but comes up as someone who has been dead 50 years. Tempe needs to travel to Hawaii with her daughter to sort through the different cases and get to the bottom of everything.
opinion: I liked this book. It was very unpredictable and did not see what the ending was going to be like. This is the least spookiest of this series so far. I do wish things would speed back up with Ryan and Tempe though.

The first Kathy Reichs book I didn't really enjoy. Too many acronyms, too hard to follow, the mystery wasn't really all that compelling . . . just not up to par. Hope the next one is better.

Not Reichs' best. The plotline involving mistaken identities was confusing and rushed -- too much information presented in too short a span. Also, I called the plot-twist in the first 30 pages.

Entertaining, but this once I have to say I actually prefer the tv series over the books.
