The first in a multi-generational series involving an LDS family during the years just prior to, during and after World War II. This is definitely above-average LDS fiction and although I read only the first book, I would recommend them all.

It was one of my favorites in the series. I've read it twice and both times it was amzing. Wally was also my favorite both times. Boobi's fine and Alex great too. No one- except Gene and maybe Larue- beats Wally.
