A great book to read for any serious transition in your life and career. Its also the perfect fire under your ass to get you started on your passions in life.

The book tells you all the things you don’t want to hear (or have already heard), in a way you want to hear them. It’s the perfect self-help books for those who don’t like self-help books!

James Victore is a genius. If you feel “stuck” or in a head space where you’re making no progress this book is for you. If you don’t want to grow as a person and learn how to get through the tough stuff- this book is not for you. If you’re happy with the everyday mundane tasks to get your paycheck and make ends meet do not read this.

A bunch of aphorisms that are all good but nothing truly unique. A book to pick up if you need a reminder but not truly deep ideas or thinking on how

This is a great book for when you need motivation. It has many great one-liners that are helpful to lighting a fire. It doesn’t give really any actionable steps, presumably because you are the one who needs to come up with the right action for you. This book is trite, nothing really original, but a good compilation of every piece of personal development advice all rolled into one brief, curated place.

“The world doesn’t need more millionaires. We need more creative people who give a damn about something other than theirselves.”
Simple but fabulous reminders on living a creative life.

Nothing I haven’t heard or read before, but that doesn’t necessarily make Victore’s advice wrong.
The one line that stuck with me while reading this book was in the first few pages: “Inspiration without action is bullshit.”
