J.M. Wallace has done it again! This was phenomenal! Once I started reading it, I didn’t want to stop.

A true test, for me, of how much I love a book is can I continue the series without a recap, or does it all come flooding back? And, yes, you’ve guessed it, I remembered instantly.

Firstly the writing style is amazing. The story flows with such ease It’s like you are reading a book with illustrations. The world, characters, and scenes just emerge around you to the point you feel like you can reach out and touch it.

Then you have the continuation of the story. OMG! There is pain, fear, hope, laughter, love, everything you could want.
The bringing together of magical races with humans in the fight of good vs evil.
The growth of the characters you loved from book 1 and the introduction of new characters, good & bad.
Not to mention so many beautifully touching moments. Moments that made me smile and even made me cry.
And, of course, there's an epic battle, which I did enjoy, but for me, it's the build-up that I feel in love with.

There is a gorgeous message within this book about the power of kindness. Those simple acts can make the toughest of souls change their perspective. And this links in with my favourite character.

Honestly, this is a wonderful series. It’s one of my favourite fantasy series ever! I will rave about these books to everyone and anyone who will listen.

I’m truly grateful to Booktok as I’ve been so blessed to discover the most amazingly talented and gifted authors and J.M. Wallace is one of them.

Thank you to the author for the ARC ebook in return for an honest review. (I wish I could say something grander than thank you)

It got better then the first and I loved everything. No holes in the story and I love the bonus in the end. I love the writing style, it's super easy to read, everything flows naturally. The battle was great, the end of the battle had me shed a tear not gonna lie. Very emotional. Perfekt transition from the battle to the next adventure. Shaye is my Goddess, kind of like Bass but f him in the end.

I loved this book! It was a great follow up to book one.

The plot kept me on my toes from start to finish , there were so many moments when I really couldn’t guess how our characters were going to make it out of precarious situations. I was so disappointed when the book ended, I cannot wait for book three!

This book got a little darker, which I really enjoyed, as it explored loyalty, betrayal, duty and the seduction of power.

I love the magic system, and the use of lesser well known mythological creatures and lore.

The only thing I would have liked to have seen, was a little more spice, as this was light in that area, but it didn’t compromise my enjoyment of the book, it’s just personal preference.

This book hits all the right spots! From magic and fantasy, to action and heartbreak, it is so well written, JM Wallace has such a beautiful storytelling style and it was a pleasure to read! Easily a five star read and I can’t recommend it enough!

I received an electronic ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I absolutely love that I can see J.M. Wallace's growth through this series! This is a great addition to the trilogy and so far my favorite! I enjoyed watching Shaye and Sorin deal with things separately from each other but still doing everything in their power for the good of Asterion and each other. I loved their reunion and the battle scene! She did so much of a better job of making me feel for the side characters and when I say I FELT one particular portion....you'll know when you get there!

This is one of the things I love about ARC reading for emerging authors, seeing them get better! I have a feeling we'll be seeing better and better things in the future from J.M. Wallace!

I loved this book. If you love dark fantasay with magic and fighting then this book is for you. Book 2 is another great addition to this trilogy. You learn more about what really happened in shaye and her family’s past. The truth snd not how it was presented to her. She must learn to forgive in order to defeat her enemy who she once thought a friend.

Oh how I adore this series! Shaye and Sorin are such strong, amazing characters. I loved their growth through this book and I really just want to give Shaye a hug after all she’s been through! I am SO excited for the third book and can’t wait to see how their journey progresses and what happens in The Beyond!
