After I got over some of the more ridiculous parts of this (names, places, etc) I actually started to really like this. I thought the mix of characters was good and how they learned to come together and work together. I wish there was a more definite end to this. I realize it is a series but I don’t think anything was resolved. I hope to get to the other books someday.

Good book, not great. It just didn't pull me in to keep reading. I finished it but won't be reading the rest, despite the fact that I do want to know what happens.

2.5 stars. The humor didn’t work quite as well as intended, and the constant traveling made the book devolve into a go-here-do-this kind of feeling.

My first book of the new year ends on. A cliffhanger?!?! Those dirty rotten... ... she.

I very much enjoyed the book.

Kinda fun, though some of the stuff is weird and non-sensical. What is the point of Ling Ling's character?

This started off well and the premise was good. A hunger games read alike with added magic and the addition of dwarves, elves and fairies. However it lacked pace and merely limped from event to event. Most disappointing is the ending I am not sure i can read the second in the series and be similarly disappointed
