Wako being a fujoshi who reads incest manga makes her so much less likeable to me. I said that what I said.

The way this series handles queerness is so strange. It's either fetishised (the doujinshi that Wako reads, the BL that the struggling author publishes), a running gag (Wako's co-worker thinking she's dating a woman) or erased completely (legend has it that couples who visit Miyajima will be separated by jealous goddesses but Wako says the goddesses might mistake Meguru for a girl, so it's not an issue. Because women dating women don't count, I guess).

I think I'll just drop this series. It's just not intriguing enough to keep me reading. The main conflict is actually paper thin (Wako wanting to keep her relationship with Meguru secret, so that his fans won't be disappointed) and the story meanders and not always in an entertaining way.
