Still Unwritten is an escapist romance between a K-Pop star in hiding and a wannabe actress from Italy. The scenery is probably the most enjoyable character and setting in a book and I really want to go there. The book took a long time to get into and even then I was just not sure I liked it all that much. The setting is great, some of the characters are great but the two mains just didnt connect and resonate with me as much as I had hoped. I think a lot of people will like this book, it just didnt capture me.

There was lots of time jumps between certain scenes which I wasn’t a huge fan of but I liked how much diversity of not just people but also the challenges they go through was included. I didn’t feel motivated to read this book, but I also didn’t want to give it up without knowing how it would end, so I guess i was gripped to the storyline but something put me off from falling in love. Also, it stressed me out how often i was picking up my phone to translate words and phrases.

What a lovely, heartwarming and engaging book. The characters just sprang from the page and I felt I could see them around me. All their stories both of past hurts and trying to move on felt real and believable. I know a lot of people have commented and said that two people can’t fall in love that fast…. Um yes they can and also if that didn’t happen to you that’s fine some people gradually fall in love others do fall in love but it takes time for them to realise it and move together. Another comment is why does it focus so much on all the characters tragic backstories… well it does but that’s part of the story and I felt that it flowed incredibly beautifully and also moved me. I loved all the Taylor Swift references because yes we do connect to feelings, emotions and memories to music. I fell head over heels in love with this story and these two characters are adorable.

it is apparent that the target market was the swifties but being one, this book did not resonate with me. it just felt over the place and topics weren't discussed as much as i'd want to as it jumped from one to another.
