I did finish this and almost wish I hadn't. Dense and complicated and funny and confusing. Almost DNF'd multiple times, but finally finished. Just glad it's over.

Finally got around to re-reading this after several years, still a pretty awesome mind-f*** of a novel. I still love it. Some publishers and academics in Italy begin to create a conspiracy theory, the Plan, incorporating the Templars and Assassins and alchemists and every other crazy theory ever advanced . . . and then are horrified that they may have hit upon some truths . . .
