A beautiful conclusion to Karys and Dravyn's story. The only thing dropping this to 3.5 stars is the pacing of the story. I wish we had spent less time on Karys figuring out her new powers and more time on the meat and potatoes of the story. As such, there were moments when I wanted to care about what I'm reading, but found myself wondering where it was all going.

Of course, Gaither succeeded in creating the characters with their own nuances. Not everyone is black and white. Everyone is a hero in their own eyes.

There was less smut compared to the first book of the duology (almost an afterthought), but that's not why we read this, right? lol.

I loved this book so much! This book was full of action and plot twists, and I couldn't stop reading! Reading the last lines, I was a bit disappointed, but then I read the epilogue, and I was literally crying! Best ending ever. 

This one deserves all the stars.

An incredible conclusion to the Flame and Sparrow duology! Ash and Feather picks up immediately after the first book ends and from there we are taken on an incredible adventure. It takes a few chapters to get to the super intense action, but there is so much growth Karys has to do between where the book begins and the ending and I love how deeply that all is explored. 

And the way the book ended was perfect! I was on the edge of my seat for probably the last 20% of the book, but I love how everything came together amidst the emotional rollercoaster of it all 🤣

Dravyn is as swoony as ever and there was a great balance of sweet and spicy moments between him and Karys.❤️‍🔥The found family element remained strong and I loved all the great moments with Valas and Mairu. Moth was of course the absolute best and one of my all time favorite magical creature characters! 

Overall, I am obsessed with SM Gaither's books and this was just as amazing as all her others! Thank you to SM for letting me read early!
