Simplistic, but effective story about what could happen if you eat only one kind of food...

Kids liked it.

Cute story aiming to teach kids to eat a variety of foods or they just might turn the color of the food they eat the most!

Little donkey loves to eat grass and he doesn't love to eat anything else. But he's inspired to try some new foods after he discovers that all that grass he's been eating has turned him green. Not my favorite picky eater book, but cute enough.

Kids will laugh at this story! Cute.

A perfect story for picky eaters! Little Donkey loves grass- in fact, it's the only thing he will eat, despite the pleas of his mother to try something else. One day, Little Donkey gets a surprise when he sees his reflection- all that grass has turned him green! Will this finally convince him to try something else?
This story is a great example of how well text and illustration can work together to make something wonderful. The text is funny and relatable, and the artwork is fabulous- it's vibrant and colorful, filled with detail, and Little Donkey's expressions are perfect. So recommended!

Donkey is addicted to eating grass, and he loves it so much that he refuses to eat anything else. One day, Donkey has eaten so much grass that he turns green! He's worried that his mom will find out, so he tries different ways to get his color back to normal. This book has a twist at the end that made me laugh out loud, so everyone should definitely read it!

This was a fun one. Good morale, funny, the writing make it fun to read out loud. Nothing mind blowing or reinvented here but a truly simple and well executed book for children. Well done!

Little Green Donkey is written in the same spirit as other books such as A Bad Case of the Stripes. This book will encourage kids to try new foods in a hilarious and fun way. Little Donkey is like many toddlers and preshool age children... a very picky eater. So much so that he turns green from eating too much grass. I think this is a perfect book for preschool story time and I can see many littles giggling along as donkey changes colors and tries to disguise the fact that he is green!

I ended up giving this book 3 out of 4 stars because while I enjoyed it, I don't think every child will, and I don't think it touches on any subjects that are new or that the writing is unique.

Picky eaters are hard to deal with. They will only eat one thing. That is exactly Donkey’s problem. He will only eat grass. So much so, it turns him green. But with a little persuading from mom, he might just find a new snack. This would be fun to read before bed, or even at story time. The illustrations are soft, but lively and fun as well.
