I read and reviewed the first book through NetGalley and could not get enough of Chris and Sara. I bought myself the next two books of the series, and then I saw NetGalley was offering up the fourth book for review. Score!
The story continues on right where it left off, but with a little more background story and a little less 'erotica' scenes. Which is perfectly fine by me. I want to know who really killed Rebecca and where is Ella! The book was so good that I downloaded it and read it in one day. Now I'm stuck waiting till the next one is released.
If erotica books are your type of thing, I highly recommend the Inside Out series.

Wow!! Lisa does it again!! I just love this series!! Intense and sexy and full of twists and turns. And that ending!!! Holy bananas!!! Totally wasn't expecting that!!
Watching Chris and Mark both struggle with themselves, was quite hard to watch. These men always seem unbreakable, but they're human and they feel, just like everyone else. But they both have women who are willing to help and support them. I just hope Mark realizes it, before it's too late.

I remember when it was only supposed to be a trilogy.... My god, this story is like a freaking web! One more book to end the series. But then, I wanna read the companion novels too... And then I wanna read the Careless Whispers series too, which is about Ella.. GOD, SO MANY BOOKS. SO LITTLE TIME...

Oh boy, where do I begin?
Books one and two were pretty good, but the third seemed kind of like "filler" for the most part. I was instantly drawn into the story of [b:If I Were You|15717721|If I Were You (Inside Out, #1)|Lisa Renee Jones|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1397227898s/15717721.jpg|21388692], but by the end of [b:Revealing Us|15839322|Revealing Us (Inside Out, #3)|Lisa Renee Jones|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1372819767s/15839322.jpg|21579567], I felt like the story was dragging on too long. I still enjoy the books, but it's starting to feel like a soap opera (I keep waiting for someone presumed dead to "rise from the ashes" or something).
I feel like this book raised more questions than it answered, but at least we're finally getting somewhere with the Rebecca mystery. There were some interesting plot twists in this book, which I'm curious to see play out later. Yes, I probably will pick up the next book. I'm not sure if I'll finish the series, though. It depends on the next book, I guess.
Sara and Chris have come so far since their first meeting at the gallery in the first book. I'm actually really proud of Sara now (I was really annoyed with her in the third book) because of how she's standing her ground, sticking up for herself, and not letting people make her a victim anymore. Chris is still being super protective, but I think Sara has finally seen that she really does need to be more careful, so maybe she won't get herself into anymore bad situations in the future.
There were fewer sex scenes in this book (I think), but Chris and Sara went a little deeper into BDSM and that was interesting to "watch" unfold. We also get to find out if Chris will turn to the whip when he feels like his world is falling apart. I have to say that his reaction to the news he got really surprised me.
My copy had enough repetition of a few words/phrases/ideas to annoy me, but I don't know if those were changed before publication, so I won't quote anything. I do know that repetition was one of my complaints about the third book, and possibly the second book as well.
I think this series should be avoided until it's finished unless you really like waiting for things to happen, and you like cliff-hanger endings. Every book ends on a cliff-hanger, which was fun the first time, but now it's just irritating. I really liked this series in the beginning, but if there aren't a lot of answers in the next full-length book, I won't be continuing it. It's just being dragged on too long, I think. Books three and four honestly felt more like filler, and everything important from them could have been combined into one book, and the things that were cut to accomplish that probably wouldn't be missed. I hate to say that, but I think it's true. I do like this series, but I'm getting tired of the same questions being left unanswered.
