I received an ARC copy of this book. What a great read! It is well written. The world building is complete without being overwhelming. The banter/flirting between characters is perfect. I think it had a good balance of humor without being silly. The spice was introduced nicely and advanced appropriately for the characters' situation. I would rate the spice level 2-3/5. The ending felt complete enough to be satisfying, not like a cliffhanger. I would highly recommend this book for any fantasy romance reader. I look forward to another book!

Enemies to lovers?? Touch her and I’ll kill you?? Night Court Fae taking a woman each and then them being all feisty and their banter/sarcasm!

I love finding authors who write so well you feel the feelings of all of the characters and that’s exactly what this book is!!!! There were soo many amazing twist and turns to keep you hooked from page 1 to the end!! You definitely wont be disappointed if you read!!!! So ready for book 2 Queen Of Light!!!!

Overall, I really enjoyed this dark fantasy romance. I would rate the spice a 3/5; it wasn’t erotica, but it was still sexy and spicy. I wish the enemies part of enemies to lovers lasted a bit longer between Ciaran and Etain. There are fated mates in this novel, so I do kind of understand why it was so fast. Etain grasps her powers almost instantly when it usually takes years to do so. that is the only thing I didn’t like. The banter between Etain and Ciaran and between Anin and Kes. I'm a big fan of banter, especially in enemiesto lovers. Some parts of the book were a bit predictabl, however, it was done well so I won’t complain. I came for the spice and I stayed for the plot. I can’t wait until the next book of the series comes out as this one ended on a major cliffhanger. Warning: this book contains attempted rape, gore, murder, and sex.
Graphic: Cursing, Gore, Blood, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Sexual assault, Sexual violence, Torture, Violence, and Death of parent
Minor: Vomit

I received an ARC of this book and overall it is an enjoyable read! I was grateful to be included in the ARC experience. The characters are easily likable and the world building is simple to understand. The third person POV switching between four characters did leave me wanting a bit more- I feel like there was opportunities for scenes to be more descriptive or fleshed out a bit more to add more to the story and make the reader more present in the experience. I am excited to see the growth in book 2!

This book sucked me right in. It was so difficult to put down and I would find myself filled with so much adrenaline I had to pace the floors while I read. Would love to have a physical copy of this book. If you enjoy fantasy and romance this is definitely a book to read. Hopefully we don't have to wait too long for the second book in what I'm assuming will be a fantastic series.

Ohhh how I enjoyed this! I loved every main character, I particularly enjoyed Kes & Anin’s banter. Her calling him bird names had me cackling.
Such a slow burn between two particular characters, I’m sure you can guess who but I don’t want to give anything away. However, I cannot wait to see how their relationship plays out in the next book. I’m also looking foreword to see how more of a badass Etain is going to become.
The balance between spice and plot was perfect for me. And that cliffyyyyy…oof my heart
