It was cute but confusing, and some things were unnecessary.
I was excited to read about Callie and Luke again, but halfway through, I couldn't wait for the story to be over. There were moments when I didn't know what was happening, and some conflicts lingered for too long. Some scenes needed to be better written so that I could follow.
The ending was unexpected... I didn't hate it; I didn't see it coming.
I liked the first book better. I'm glad I read this, but I don't think I'll reread it.

I was hoping for a redeeming book after the first book Not Your Average Hot Guy let me down. But I felt like there wasn't much growth in the authors writing. She didn't let things simmer or build up emotions that I think would have made this book great. Again, probably wouldn't recommend people to go out and buy this book, but it also wasn't the most awful book I've read.

I received a free copy of this book as part of a Goodreads giveaway. I found this sequel to to be a bit slower in terms of pacing at the beginning compared to the first book. I also had a bit harder time connecting to the new character that is introduced at the start of the novel. However, I found the humor and romance to be just a good as in the first book and once the character motivations are revealed, it was a very fun and engaging read. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys light-hearted fantasy rom-coms. If you enjoyed the series Lucifer on Netflix you will appreciate the dynamics of Callie and Luke and their quests to constantly save the world in these books.

Pretty good, silly book. I found the inconsistency with the mom’s feelings at the end of the last one vs the beginning of this one to be annoying. I also thought that it was silly that she has the fate of the future of humanity/hell(?) on her plate and she was worried about disappointing her mom and working for an escape room

“I’ll be there in a heartbeat, if you need me.”
“I know.”
OMG this book. Luke and Callie. I just fell deeper in love/obsessed with this couple and these books. Their irreverent (in the best possible) way and outstanding love story with all the challenges and trial it brings was one of the best series that I have read in a very long time.
Just read these books and enjoy.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series as a cheesy rom com with a cute little twist, writing was basic but colloquial, plot was convenient, I was perfectly content with it as a comfort read.
Now this book, absolutely nutso plot. Very weird premise that was trying to make the plot exciting but so many random things happened that didn’t add to character building or suspense or the plot. Everyone behaves so strangely and seemingly falls in love immediately (aka mom).
I really didn’t care what happened because I KNEW some more random things would happen and conflict would come up that COULD have been interesting but then just be solved in a single paragraph.
So tired of the main characters “brain blasts” where she says she has an idea, everyone is confusion but trusts her, and it works out perfectly.
I really didn’t like this. I didn’t hate it… so that’s something. But it’s not good at all.
The huge built up smut scene was a giant let down.
Honestly, with such a cool premise - I cannot believe how BORED I was.
Giving a bonus start for they/them usage.

The sequel was a lot more boring. A few good quips here and there that made me laugh. The ending was better than the beginning.
