Apparently one of the must-reads on college campuses immediately after it was written. Has some sobering perspectives for an anthropologist like me...

Like a 3.5 rounded up. It’s amazing to me how true this is now so many years into the future. The discussion on tribalism and the rejection of the status quo we’re definitely entering that time and I’m living for it. The folks holding steadfast to the past are generally steeped in hateful ideologies and prejudices so we’re hopeful that they just go away eventually

It's a bit surreal to read a book written over 50 years ago that still hits home a little too hard. This was a fresh perspective to me, which I definitely appreciated. The discussion on the Black community felt dated, at best, if not outright racist, but overall the ideology was thought-provoking in a good way.

Comprehensive, honest but still extremely tongue-in-cheek, does not pull punches.
