Well written unreliable mc who is kinda insane and pmo. Ending was a little bit unsatisfying but made sense I guess. It’s pacing was a bit funky but that also kinda reflected the mc thoughts but like I said he pmo. Pretty much no character in this was likeable which made it at times a bit difficult to get through.

This really wasn't as interesting as I had hoped. The last 50ish pages caught my attention a bit better but the characters in this book were all pathetic and petty.

Really, this was a 2.5-Star book for me. I found it rather plodding.

Definitely a psychological thriller. Stupid Matthew ... follow sister-in-law during affair to terrible end.

I didn't like the ending. I wanted the characters to resolve a bit more.

This is really more of a case study of a psychopathic guy than a thriller. There were sections that had unnecessary detail, but I think they were that way because that's how our narrator would realistically think. The first half seemed kind of boring but the second half picked up for me and I found it a fairly interesting listen. Some of the threads of the story seemed to go nowhere though. A solid "meh".

I didn't like it...
I didn't like the characters...
I didn't like the story...
I didn't like the way it was told...
I didn't like the constant directions on how to get back to the house...
I didn't feel the feelings that I was told these characters had...
I didn't even like it enough to give specific reasons of why
I didn't like it, I just didn't and I disliked it that much that I can't even explain it. :(

The Fall Guy by James Lasdun would have scored higher for me if it hadn't been a bit slow and had a better ending. I did enjoy reading it though. 3 stars

I did not like anything about this book. The characters the plot all quite frankly dull. Clearly I don't recommend it.
