Not having succeeded in finding you he has now taken into his head to go to the distant countries of the new world in search for you."

3. Tiba-tiba Pinocchio tidak suka sekolah, padahal sebelumnya dia ingin sekali bersekolah. Lucunya dia belum sekalipun pergi ke sekolah.

Fairy, "Good boys go willingly to school......"
Pinocchio, "And school gives me pain all over my body. But from today I will change my life."

Had read this in Italian 2 back in freshman year. We read the book as well as watched the newer Italian movie with Roberto Benigni. I found both the book and the movie to be boring and not funny. Benigni is a nuisance as Pinocchio and I understand that his character is a nuisance, but his overdramatic acting just didn't need to be there. I've never found this story to be entertaining in the slightest.

me encanto el libro, las aventuras eran cortas, divertidas y con moralejas cada una, senti que era un niño al leerlo ,esuchar habalr de animales que hacen cosas de humanos es como escuchar fabula en la primaria, definitivamente lo reecomendaria a niños y padres , creo que se pedue aprender mucho de el .
yo como adulto veo a pínocho tan malcriado y grosero que pienso que flojera; cuanto aguantan los padres con sus respectivois hijos . Ver a pinochio con esa motivacion, sed de ver el mundo , de rebeldia, sin ver mas alla de lo que esta enfrente como todo un niño , creo que muchos en algun momento de la nuestra vida pasamos por una que orta etapa y aprender de ellos. pór eso hace que me encantara.!!

I was tickled reading this book, not because it was good but because it was hilariously bad. It turns out that Pinocchio was first written as a serial in a children's magazine and then was published as a full book. Because of this, every chapter ends on a ridiculous cliff hanger.

Clearly the story was meant to be a teaching opportunity as many characters try to warn Pinocchio time and again to be good and obey his father and go to school. However, this message is undermined by the fact that Pinocchio always ignores the advice and often the messenger gets killed in gruesome ways. When a book is 95% naughty behavior and 5% adults lecturing, what part do you think the kid remembers?

I honestly think it would be a funny read aloud though (if your kids are older and can handle violence---Pinocchio literally gets hanged at one point) because it is over the top and hilarious and the chapters are short.
