A little vintage sci-fi on vacay
Even though we’ve made great strides in science since this was written, it still feels very timely given our current conditions. The struggle for scientists to solve urgent public health is real and is still urgent and they are just people like the rest of us. Something important to keep in mind.

Much better than I thought a book about a pandemic from 1969 would be. I'm onto the next Crichton book - The Terminal Man.

Enjoyed it quite a lot. I actually liked what was done with the movie a bit better (the visuals and set design are great in the movie), but this was fun to compare the film to.
