Good for the Soul was a little slow in terms of content. GI was good and it was nice to get background on the situation, but this didn't progress the main plot much.

I found the third volume of the boys to be better much better than the first two. However, the way a lot of this volume is told is by one character info dumping on another character. Sure you get a lot of it drawn like they're mini self-contained stories, doesn't really make it much better for me though.
I would have liked a more creative way of giving backstories.

In some ways this is 'back on track' with some more interesting writing for the series, focusing on digging into who each member of The Boys is and what motivates them. While it might not be pleasant to read in parts, it's much more interesting than the usual piss-take regarding what superheroes would 'really be like'.

Bullet Review:

This one is mostly backstory - also a random “joke” about periods, an almost rape, and zombies pissing in buckets and trying to retrieve hamsters.

Pretty good
A good combination of back story, love and more mayhem.
